CASE STUDY / CPA FIRM · THOMPSON’S STATION
Harmony Tax Services: a CPA firm’s site rebuilt, and the engines reading it within weeks.
Claude Korkis, CPA — ex-Deloitte, Thompson’s Station — replaced a Wix site with a thirty-seven-page hand-built site on August 26, 2026. Three weeks later the AI crawlers were reading it, Google had it on page one for thirteen searches, and one of the month’s three leads arrived from ChatGPT.
What they came with
A Wix site with the firm’s reviews and history behind it, and a market — Nashville’s south side — where the national tax chains and the big regional CPA firms hold the results page. The firm’s strengths were real and unstated: an ex-Deloitte CPA, trust and estate work most local preparers do not do, five-star reviews, a real office.
What was built and run
The work.
- A thirty-seven-page site built in two weeks: a services hub with six service pages, nine city pages, an About page with the founder’s bio and Person schema, an eighteen-question FAQ with Speakable markup, the “Taxing Matters” blog with twelve posts, contact and thank-you pages
- Six real five-star Google reviews on the site, with the rating in structured data and no counters
- Every old URL redirected so nothing that ranked landed on a 404; the sitemap submitted the day of launch
- Self-hosted fonts with the critical faces preloaded, structured data and an llms.txt on every page, crawl access for the AI agents, and a US geo-gate that exempts every crawler
- GA4, Search Console and a first-party traffic dashboard with conversion attribution — the source of the numbers below

What happens next
Getting named: listings with reviews on the sources the engines cited for this question (expertise.com, clutch.co, goodfirms.co among them), reviews that mention the towns on the weak side of the map, and the city pages for them. The grid and the answers are measured again every month.
The layers that did this work: web design, local SEO, AI SEO.
FAQ / Answers
Harmony Tax Services CPA, PC — questions
Did the rebuild cost any rankings?
No. Every URL on the old site was mapped to its new equivalent with a permanent redirect before launch and the sitemap was submitted the same day, so the ranking history carried over. Search Console shows the site on page one for thirteen searches three weeks after the cutover.
Why does a CPA firm need AI search?
Because “best tax preparer near me” is now asked of ChatGPT and Google’s AI as often as it is typed into a search box, and the answer names two or three firms. The engines found the firm by name within weeks; the next step is being the one they name when nobody says the name.
How long did the build take?
Two weeks from the first build to launch — August 11 to August 26, 2026 — with the founder reviewing the staging site at two points. The content was ready: the services were known, the reviews were real, and the bio wrote itself from a real career.
