THE CASE FOR HIRING / CHECK IT YOURSELF
Why Middle Tennessee owners hire us, and how to check every word of it.
It comes down to two things: who does the work, and what gets built. You can check both from your phone in about two minutes, before you ever pick it up to call.
Four things to do on your phone
Don’t take our word for it. Check these four.
Open a site we rebuilt
Three Stone Roofing in Franklin traded a WordPress site that Google had been asked not to index for the one now at threestone.com. Our scan gave the old site 56 out of 100 on September 19, 2026, and the new one 98 on September 24.
Ask an AI who to hire
Ask ChatGPT, Claude or Google’s AI Mode who to call for house painting in Nashville. When we asked five engines three times each on September 20, 2026, Nashville Paint Co, a site we built, came up in 9 of the 15 answers. Your answer today may differ; ours carries its date.
Scan your own site
Put your web address into the free scan. It runs the checks that scored every site on these pages and hands you the PDF. It asks for no email.
The record / Since 1997
Twenty-nine years in technology, fourteen of them in hospital IT.
Michael Blair grew up in Sylvan Park and finished at Hillwood High in 1996. His first technology job, in 1997, was fixing copiers and fax machines for the Robert J. Young Company, between classes at Nashville Tech, and the office networks those machines sat on are what hooked him.
In 1999 he joined Ascension Health’s IT department in Nashville and stayed until 2013. He set up its first help desk, moved through desktop, network and IP phone support, guarded the information of three hospitals as their security officer, and left as an Applications Analyst II over patient linking, Cerner security and Forms On Demand.
Two firsts came out of that job: one medical record number a patient kept at every hospital in the community, and an arm band carrying a 3D barcode. The habit both taught is the one a website needs too: a system people depend on gets built so it can be checked.
All through those years he was building and hosting websites at night. In 2013 that became his whole job.
He holds A+, MCSE and DCSE certifications, among others. The full record, in order
The build / No theme, no plugins
We gave up WordPress. Here is what we build instead.
Michael built WordPress sites for years and no longer recommends it. His reasons, unedited: “we stopped recommending WordPress because it was slow, clunky, outdated and always being hacked and the designs were terrible.”
- Pages written by hand and served as finished files from Cloudflare’s network: no theme, no plugins to keep patched, no WordPress login page for bots to hammer
- Structured data on every page, giving Google and the AI engines the business’s name, services, towns and phone in a form a machine can verify
- An llms.txt file and the AI search crawlers let in on purpose, the opposite of the old Southern Belle Construction site, whose robots.txt sent GPTBot and PerplexityBot away
- A lead form that saves every inquiry before it emails you, so a mail hiccup never costs you a customer
- A private traffic dashboard on every site that counts visits, calls and forms, and lists visitors sent by AI assistants as their own channel
- Judged by putting your customers’ questions to Google’s AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, and writing down whether each one names you
Tried on our own businesses first
Our own companies run on the same build.
Michael co-owns National Closet Company and Blair Custom Interiors, owns Elopements Inc., and runs 51 Middle Tennessee trade sites plus a directory, Nashville’s Best Pros. A method gets tried there before it is sold, where a mistake costs us and nobody else.
National Closet Company opened in June 2026 in a market held by national franchises. By September 20 our scan scored its site 95, and five engines asked who to hire for custom closets in Nashville named it in 7 of 20 answers. The map pack is the part still being worked, and the case study says so.
Middle Tennessee only
Built for businesses you drive past.
Our clients are based here, in Nashville and the counties around it, and nowhere else. The rebuilds on these pages belong to a roofer in Franklin, a CPA in Thompson’s Station, a home builder in White House and a wedding venue in Hendersonville, and every one of them is a site you can open tonight. A business based anywhere else is looked after by Zorva Labs, our parent company.
Three things we won’t promise.
- A number-one ranking. Google’s own guidance for hiring an SEO says “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google”, and we agree with it.
- That AI names our clients more than anyone else’s. What we have are first readings, each with its date. The same questions get asked again on November 1, 2026.
- That a score is a phone call. A 98 means Google and the engines can load and read the site. The calls still come from the profile, the reviews and the work itself.
FAQ / Answers
Before you hire us
Do you build WordPress sites?
No, not anymore. Michael built them for years before giving WordPress up for hand-built sites that load faster and leave nothing for an attacker to patch around. If you already have a WordPress site, we rebuild it and point every old address at its new page with a permanent redirect, as we did for Three Stone Roofing in Franklin.
What do you build websites with?
Hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript, put together with our own site kit and hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with Cloudflare Workers and a D1 database behind the forms. Next.js comes in only when a project needs an application. Each site is connected to Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Bing Webmaster Tools, and gets a private traffic dashboard of its own.
Who will I actually be working with?
Michael Blair, start to finish. He builds the site, runs the local and AI search work, and picks up 629-298-8241 himself. Nobody else is passed your account, here or overseas, and no reseller works under our name.
Do people still need a web designer?
If you are just starting and money is tight, a builder site is a reasonable first step, and we will tell you so. You need one when customers ask Google’s AI or ChatGPT who to hire and your site gives those engines nothing to read: no structured data, no plain answers, the AI crawlers shut out. Closing that gap is the job.
Can I see your work before I call?
Yes, and we would rather you did. All of the client sites on the work page are up today, ready to tap through, and the before-and-after page sets the old site’s scan next to ours with the date each one ran and the PDF it produced.
THE MARKET CHECK
Tell us your business and your town. We look before we call.
Before the first call we check what the AI engines say about you and who gets named instead, so the conversation starts with your market, not a pitch.
